Gramma's
Blankies
for the Children of the World
made by Gramma CarolynGramma Carolyn operates
a volunteer organization to provide small quilts for the
orphans and underprivileged children of the world.
She started making "blankies" from new and repurposed fabric
in 2008 to send to an orphanage in Kenya.
It is her desire that every child have their own "blankie"
made with love to comfort them. The proceeds of the sale
of the blankies on this web page go towards furthering her
work.
These small quilts are also good for people confined to
wheelchairs, shut-ins, the elderly and even pets.
The quilts measure approximately 36 by 42 inches in size.
The designs vary, but are grouped as those suitable for
general (mostly yellows, greens, neutrals), girls (mostly
reds and pinks) or boys (mostly blues). There are some samples
pictured below, but please let Carolyn choose your blankie!
